The Conference of Birds is a Persian literary masterpiece written by the poet Farid ud-Din Attar in the 12th century. It tells the story of a group of birds who embark on a perilous journey in search of their king, the Simurgh, who is believed to possess all the wisdom in the world. Along the way, the birds must overcome various obstacles and challenges, each of which symbolizes a spiritual test or lesson. Through their journey, the birds learn about the nature of love, faith, surrender, and the ultimate truth of existence. The Conference of Birds is not only a beautiful work of literature, but it also holds profound spiritual insights and teachings that have inspired readers for centuries.
Framing is currently offered within Perth, Australia only. Because paper-cutting artworks are delicate and dimensional, framing is a little different to standard prints. I recommend a “floating” presentation, sandwiched between two pieces of glass so the artwork stays protected and visible from both sides.
If you’re in Perth, I can arrange framing and deliver to you. If you’re outside Perth, please message me with your location and I’ll share the best options and next steps.
Every artwork is an original, hand-crafted piece by Tusif Ahmad. Each order includes a signed authenticity card.
