The Kiswah is the cloth draped over the Kaaba in Mecca, a building prime amongst Islam’s holy sites. Each year a new kiswah is placed on the Kaaba during the annual Hajj pilgrimage. Dozens of Saudi caftsmen, including some of the best calligraphers and artists in the world, work in Mecca preparing the elaborate silk and cotton cloth which is embroidered with gold thread. The kiswah has many distinct features, one of which is a specific design for covering the doorway to which this piece is a near replica.
Kiswah of Kabbah is the cloth that covers the Kaaba in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It is draped annually on the 9th day of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah, the day pilgrims leave for the plains of Mount Arafat during the Hajj. The artwork is a depiction of the Kiswah in papercutting.

کسوہ مکہ میں کعبہ کے اوپر لپٹا ہوا کپڑا ہے، جو اسلام کے مقدس مقامات میں سے ایک عمارت ہے۔ ہر سال سالانہ حج کے دوران کعبہ پر ایک نیا کسوہ رکھا جاتا ہے۔ دنیا کے چند بہترین خطاطوں اور فنکاروں سمیت درجنوں سعودی کاریگر، مکہ میں وسیع ریشم اور سوتی کپڑے کی تیاری کا کام کرتے ہیں جس پر سونے کے دھاگے سے کڑھائی کی جاتی ہے۔ کسوہ کی بہت سی الگ خصوصیات ہیں، جن میں سے ایک دروازے کو ڈھانپنے کے لیے ایک مخصوص ڈیزائن ہے جس میں یہ ٹکڑا قریب کی نقل ہے۔

لكسوة هي قطعة قماش ملفوفة فوق الكعبة المشرفة في مكة المكرمة ، وهي مبنى رئيسي بين الأماكن الإسلامية المقدسة. كل عام يتم وضع كسوة جديدة على الكعبة أثناء موسم الحج السنوي. يعمل العشرات من القفاطين السعوديين ، بما في ذلك بعض من أفضل الخطاطين والفنانين في العالم ، في مكة المكرمة لإعداد الأقمشة الحريرية والقطنية المتقنة والمطرزة بخيوط الذهب. تتميز الكسوة بالعديد من السمات المميزة ، أحدها تصميم خاص لتغطية المدخل الذي تعتبر هذه القطعة نسخة طبق الأصل منه.
